Auction

Leaving towards Roswell, NM for an agriculture auction there was a lot of problems. It was a long and boring drive leaving at 4 in the morning so we could make it there by the time the auction started. The roads seemed like a movie where there are not any people around. Getting to Roswell the first thing seen is that all stores and restaurants had something about aliens. I also realized that the auction was a few miles north of Roswell. Not really at the city itself. The road that led to the auction was extremely narrow and it was a dirt road. The kind of road that could only be traveled by off road vehicles. We were surprised to find that this road was leading us to the middle of no where. On our old Heavy Duty truck we were driving along the road and there were other trucks coming in our direction and we both had to get out of the road in order to pass each other. When we arrived at the auction there were so many big trucks most of them being Super Dutys. The ranchers brought large trailers to move the equipment that they were going to buy. Everybody was bidding on the big tractors and I was so hungry I had to go eat but of course the closest place to eat was Roswell. I drove through the rough terrain until I saw a Burger King that was close by and stopped to eat right there. The first thing I noticed was that they called me boss when I was ordering my food. The service was excellent for a fast food restaurant like that. You could see that there were many people there going to eat because of how they treated people. There was a lady that would just stare at me the whole time I was there. She seemed as if she had never seen a cowboy around. I later needed so get a sandwich for somebody else at McDonalds and there was an old lady around half of my size and it seemed as if she barely got the McDonalds job and was still learning how to input orders onto the computer. She was pretty sweet and told me what I was up to here at Roswell. I just said that I was here for farm equipment auction and I actually got a discount. I thought everybody in Roswell was very caring and helpful. When I was getting my drink there was a brunette girl that said she liked my boots and she has been wanting to buy some but the closest western store is literally in Artesia, NM and that is over 45 minutes away. She started to talk to me while I waited for the sandwich and it seemed like she was with her brothers there. She was around 5'7 and had greenish eyes. I noticed that she kind of wanted to flirt but I told her I lived in Las Cruces and she got sad. I would understand why though. It seems as if Roswell doesn't have that many people. At the end I got the sandwich and went back to the auction and we left with a truck full of empty air. So it didn't go too well because there really was not anything that we wanted so we left empty handed
