Don't judge a book by it's cover

It is eight o' clock in the morning, woke up on time because I had a great day ahead of me. It was playoffs day for slow pitch softball, I noticed the goosebumps as soon I walked out to the car. It was alright I been through the same thing maybe like 4 times.  First thing I thought about doing to get rid of the high stress and nerves was to get food but me and food don't get along that well before any games. Yeah food can wait after we earn the victory.

The thing I love about showing up to my games every Sunday morning is to see all my team mates having a couple of beers before our games, it just cheers me up because from there I know that it is going to be a great day surrounded by people that consider you family. They are from the hood so they could careless about what they do if it's right or wrong it's their lifestyle, I know this because I've been hanging around with them you know chilling with them for the past 3 and half years so in other words I have adjusted to their way of living, I have become more open minded to enjoy life in many different ways. The one thing that bothers and makes me sad is the statements other people do about them. It breaks my heart the insulting words and comments I hear around about their hood. They are not bad people they are just being judged by their cover but people never take time to actually read and learn about them like I did. They are human beings they work for a living like every other person in this world. It is easy to fall in that pathway in order to feel superior to them. For example, my friends always tell "Why do you hangout with them? They are cholos" but it never bothered me because now I consider them family and they respect me like I respect them.
