Me time or Study time

                I never really focused on what people due between classes. As I look around I can see not many do the same thing. Mr. Fancy Pants takes advantage of the time between classes or the time before his first class to do some studying. It looks like he studied the night before and is review. He’s so calmly reviewing his work making it seem like he’s just refreshing his mind. Maybe he is studying for a quiz or exam he is going to have. Maybe he just wants to be prepared for class. He’s listening to music as if it will help him concentrate. Is that more of a distraction or does it actually help?

                Across the halls Mr. Blue Jeans is leaned up against the wall looking at his phone. As if it is actually interesting. He doesn’t crack a smile or a chuckle. What he’s looking at must be boring? The only movement you can see is that of his thumb while he scrolls through his news feeds as if what’s on there is any different from what was there yesterday.  He prefers to take advantage of this time and catch up with the latest gossip or the new trending video. Or is it that we just have the urge to check our phone knowing that nothing on our social networks has changed from five minutes ago.

                It makes me wounded if people actually take advantage of the time between classes to do some work or get some study time in. Do some people just want to take some free time and distress before walking into their next class? Quite frankly it’s interesting to see how others around you do with their free time. There’s different ways people prefer to use their time. We have those who do work, those who are on their phones, and some who are listening to music, then some people reading a book. But it makes you stop and think is she reading it because she wants to or is it for a class.
