Life Stories and Old Men

My favorite field spots are the ones where I can go and sit and have a nice refreshment so I can see all the interesting people that walk in. This time I went to Jabs Place around 6am after working out to see who else would be up that early. The obvious people would be workers relaxing before they have to go to their jobs and that is exactly what I saw. There were about five men all in business attire, having a coffee and talking about their bills, wives and children. I always enjoy meeting new people and hearing about their life story and these guys were not shy about letting everyone else in Jabs Place know about their life. Nick was the most talkative as he was talking about his daughters 14th birthday was coming up and how he couldn't believe how fast time flew. All the other men agreed and started talking about their children and all of the success each of them achieved. It always warms my heart to see dads be happy about what their children have achieved in life.

As I was listening in to the group of business dads I suddenly realized that their was someone looking right at me. It was an old man wearing a bike helmet and he just stood their and stared. It almost seemed like he wanted to start a conversation with me so after the awkward silence I said hello and he greeted me back and walked away to go get some coffee. It was probably one of the weirdest things that has ever happened to me. This is why Jabs Place is probably my favorite to go to especially at six in the morning.
