A day at the office
It was a typical Monday morning, getting up at 5 a.m. and jumping in the shower. This was a special Monday however because it was labor day, this made getting up that much harder. Walking to my car I couldn't help but be jealous of all the people that got today off. The drive was typical, there's almost know traffic this early in the morning. When i entered the store I noticed that my co-workers were very subdued, I think this has to do with the day of the week but because it was worse than normal I suspect they feel the same as I do about working on labor day. Except guy A, he is always in a good mood and in general all of the guy co-workers are the same as the day goes on, they may be unhappy about working but they mask it with comedic relief and conversation. The women on the other hand seem to be the opposite, taking out their frustration on the people around them and in general having a attitude. This is the norm at this place it seems, the women keep to themselves and generally have a bitchy attitude and complain much more than the guys do, little things bother them more. Except girl A, she always talks to everybody and shows interest in their lives and has a very pleasant attitude. This holds throughout the day and so far seems constant, I think it has to do with the general demeanor of men and women in a labor intensive job environment. Not saying that women complain more or aren't as good of workers, but I do think there is a personality difference in the sexes that leans towards these tendencies.
