University Starbucks

At the corner Starbucks, there is a very distinct environment. The music that plays throughout the store is a calm, smooth, and relaxing mix of indie music. There are many students, as well as non-students, in the store. At one table, you can see a group of girls who seem to be gossiping. They continue to look around, whisper, and laugh, all while seeming to study as well. In the far back corner there are two students, a boy and a girl, who are most likely a couple. They walked in after me, and they guy paid for both of them. As they work on their individual laptops, the exchange flirty faces and giggles, which makes it very obvious of the attraction that they share for each other. There is a little boy sitting with his mother. He is too young yet to enjoy the pleasure of coffee, so he is eating frozen yogurt from right next door, while his mother drinks a large hot beverage. He drops his spoon, and questions his mother on what to do. She tells him to go ask the barista for another one, but he is too shy to do so, so he blows off the spoon and eats on as if nothing ever happened. At a larger table, there are 5 men, who seem to be businessmen. They are all very well dressed, and are passing around papers, while surfing on their laptops. It seems as if they are very busy, and in a hurry to get some work done. Of all the people observed in Starbucks, the ones who were dining in, all seemed to be very focused, and very content with their surroundings. It is a very calm work environment that is very easy to focus in, which draws the attention of many students to come in and do homework, like me.
