While doing my study I primarily focused on a group of
people dancing, a couple, one man and one woman. Group of people dancing one
the instructor is relaxing the dance is focusing on elegant dancing and is
somewhat fast paced. My guess is that the type of dancing is salsa because of
the proximity of how close they are to one another. Meanwhile, a couple is
studying calculus the man is complaining about a problem while his girlfriend
is trying to solve it. A man is trying to do a writing assignment, while
listening to his iphone . A woman sitting in the couch opposite to him is
listening to her own music and is just checking her facebook account while
eating grapes. The dancers are still practicing the same dance but are adding
some new moves in, which involves twirling the female dancer but always holding
on to her right hand during the process. Out of the five couples only two
couples were able to do it on their second try. The couple that is working on
their math problem was able to get past the problem that was frustrating for
the man. They are now taking break after they have found the solution; the man
went to get himself some Taco Bell for both of them. The guy that was writing a
paper is still doing it but is checking his phone now continually. The girl is
still looking at facebook and blasting her music on her computer. The group of
people dancing has left after a total of me observing for thirty minutes. They
ended by doing a series of dance moves that they were new to me and some that
they were doing while I was present, such as the twirl. After they all
attempted to dance they stretched out for awhile and later on left. The man
that is by himself is currently doing his writing assignment still. The young
women is now doing online math homework right now and still listening to her
homework .The couple is just working on their homework right now. The man in
the couple is now making jokes to the girl. They are leaving currently and are
holding hands while they leave. While I was leaving the site the man by himself
and the girl were studying still.
