It is a very warm Monday afternoon as I sip on my blended caffeinated beverage. The majority of the people around me look thankful for the air conditioning that is on full blast as everyone tries to cool down. They are all sipping on their own coffee or tea drinks. The place is buzzing with energy as people get their caffeine fix.
There are two women to my left sitting at an outside shaded table. One of the woman has brown medium length hair and is wearing a blue dress with white leggings on underneath and a pair of stylish heels. The other woman has long blond hair and is wearing a 3 quartered sleeve pink and white shirt with a pair of jean capri's and sandals. The woman in the blue dress is writing on a notepad with a black pen, they both seem to be conversing easily and freely. It looks like a causal meet up between friends in there early 30's.
A college aged man is floating around the establishment talking to different groups of people. He has spiked short brown hair and sunglasses on the back of his head. Red seems to be a favorite color of his since he is wearing a red t-shirt, jeans and red converse high tops. He has a black backpack on and a pretty large white textbook in his left hand, he stopped by a girl and asked her if she had gotten that same textbook, and she replied with a "no, not yet!" They embrace and he moves on to a man sitting down at a table with a laptop and head phones in. The man removes the headphones and they talk to each other smiling and laughing at something funny that was on his laptop computer.
While the two men are talking a male employee walks past me with a white button up shirt and khaki pants with brown shoes on, he goes by while singing "Otherside" by the Red Hot Chili Peppers. He has a great voice and since I know that song it is now going to be stuck in my head for the remainder of the day. He walks by quickly like he is in a hurry but still in a cheerful mood.
The majority of the people here come in and order their drink, wait patiently or impatiently for their beverage and leave out the double doors and into the heat. Others stay around and relax inside while doing some sort of work, playing on a cell phone, or chatting amongst friends and co-workers. By the time I have finished my drink it has gotten quite busy and I have noticed some friends of mine come towards me so I close my notebook, put away my pen and go to greet them.
