Balling on a Budget

Of course the day that I have to spend the most money, it is raining outside. Basically the most cliche thing that could happen to me became true and the fact that it happened on a Monday just made it even better. I ended up getting my first parking ticket and that just started my day off in a rough way. The looks people gave me as I was asking where to go to pay for the ticket just made my day a little bit better though.

As I walked into the building to pay for my ticket, there were two girls in there that had the same look on their face as I did. That look on our faces was guilt and we were not happy. Daphne already had a couple parking tickets so she looked a little bit more upset and was trying to talk her way out of it. Lily just looked like she did not care at all that she had to pay for her parking ticket. I think every person that has ever had a parking ticket has tried to talk their way out of it just like how I tried to. Since it was my first ticket I could have gotten it reduced to a warning and I even tried to but I parked on the yellow lines which is a state law and I had to pay the $40. Gas money, parking ticket and groceries; that is where all my money went on the first day of this week.

Witnessing Daphne and Lily struggle with their tickets and then for me to walk in with the same struggle just made us all realize that we are college kids with no money who can not afford this. Daphne, Lily and I are all balling on a budget.
