The Food Court

As i walked into the food court, i'm greeted with the noise of people having conversations and with the sight of people eating.  I take a seat at one of the tables in the corner facing the people present. I see two boys,John and Patrick, sitting to my right. John and Patrick sit across from each other not eating and not talking. John seems more interested in his phone than in starting a conversation. John after a while on his phone puts it down. Then him and Patrick look around looking at the people that surround them. They seem to talk about some of the people that are passing by. John pulls out his phone again and shows Patrick something on his phone. After a while they get up and linger by the table for a while then they leave.

There's a family sitting across from my table. A girl,Jess, who seems to be 12 she seems to be dressed more sporty than the rest of her family. A boy,Eric, who seems to be 17 he has on darker clothing and arms full of bracelets. A man,Clark, stands next to them he carries a shopping bag with him. They do not talk to each other simply look around as if they're looking for someone. Clark remains standing even though Jess and Eric are seated. Eric seeming to get impatient starts to fidget with a sign thats on the table. Then he takes out his phone typing for a while then putting it away. Clarke finally seeming tiered of standing takes a seat with the rest of his family. Eric and Clarke exchange a few words then Eric reaches into a bag. The bag had been sitting in front of Eric but I had not noticed. Eric takes out 3 graphic novels out of the bags and hands one to Jess and Clarke. Clarke seems to actually read through the graphic novel while Jess and Eric flip through the pages rather quickly. Jess and Eric put down their graphic novels down after a while and began a conversation. A short while later a woman,Sam, with a little boy trailing behind,Dylan, walk up to the table where the family had been sitting. Sam greets Jess and Eric verbally then makes her way over to Clarke  she gives him a long hug while hes still sitting leaning into him for a while. Dylan had climbed into a chair next to Clarke playing with something in his hand. Sam finally moves away from Clarke and makes her way from them to go buy food. She comes back with a snow cone. Sam hands the snow cone to Dylan and he takes it happily. They sit there for a while longer talking between themselves then they gather their things and leave the food court.
