 Daycare Day Four

Today is the that we take the children to Peter Piper Pizza, for a filed trip. Before we do so, the staff have decided to put in some learning for the children before a day of fun. They decide to put the children into little groups, and do little learning activities. I was asked to be on staff, and host a group so I agreed to do so. My group was to go outside to the playground, and view the ground and find objects that we could all explain to each other why we needed them.

In my group a had three little girl, who all seemed to be close friends. The way each of them interacted with each other was very close. They would tell each other secrets, and giggle about little things that I would say about what they had to do. I told them that they should find things, that was need for us to survive on the Earth.

When I finally took the three young girls outside, they all stayed together. They looked at the ground as if it was something they couldn’t touch because it was so dirty. Then, one of the three girls found water, and asked me if this was something of which that we needed. When I answered her and told her she was correct they immediately separated and began to race to be the next to find something.

After all of them had found at least one thing of which we needed, we decided to go back into the classroom. When we got back into the classroom we just started to discuss why certain things were more important as to what is needed to survive. After about five minutes of talking the three started to get off track and started having conversation between themselves. Soon, it was time for the whole classroom to get ready and head out for the filed trip.

Of course we got there by bus. So the children and the staff all waited in a line and line up to load on the bus. A certain number of students were bunched and sat next to a staff member. Watching the children interact and look outside the window. They were excited for what they saw and how fast they assumed the bus was moving. Soon we arrive to the place.

All the children hooped and hollered, showing how excited they were to be there. Sure enough they all wanted to hop off the bus and run into the place, but the staff still had them maintained. The excitement on their face was very visible as each group of kids chit chatted about how they had been there before and what games they were going to play.

After we were all settled in, the children were let lose to go play. The girls of course went to the more girly things while the boys went to the more boyish things. Soon they were tired and ready for food and drinks. So everyone was found. They children more close to each other set with each other, while the staff passed out the drinks and food. The children were happy to receive pizza and juice to drink. While they were all quiet and eating, the place played songs. They all moved to the beat, but didn’t say much due to stuffing their faces.

After they were all done, they were sent to play a little longer. After about an hour or so we were back on the bus and headed back to school. The children weren’t as loud due to them being so tired. The staff could all tell that the field trip was a great idea. When we got back the parents were all waiting to check their little tired ones out
