On a Sunday Evening

I arrived at CommetCoins around six fifty six on a Sunday evening. The weather outside isn’t too cold or too hot. There are a few clouds outside but the sun still brightly shines through.

There is jazz playing in the background. It is old school jazz from an obviously older decade. A Billie Holiday song plays. The music is slightly louder than usual but still not too loud. The smooth jazzy music works well with the lighting to create a study ambiance.

Most of the tables and chairs are full. Most of the patrons are student but there are a few that are not.

There are two people sitting in the comfy chairs talking about what seems to be a business matter. The guy in the casual blazer and slacks is trying to convince the more casually dressed man to join their organization. Business guy continues telling casual guy that he can "thrive" with their group. He tells casually dressed guy that he holds the qualities needed to join and flourish in the group. CasuallyDressedGuy is told that he is one of them. The argument made by BusinessGuy sounds more like CasuallyDressedGuy needs them more then BusinessGuy needs Casually Dressed Guy.

Five out of the eight laptops are Apple Macs. The other three are all Home Pavilion. Unlike the last time most students do not have their earphones plugged in.

There is also only one group of people working together. They sit closely together because they are reading the same book. They switch between Spanish and English. The guy in the shorts seems to be tutoring the guy in the pants in Spanish. Even with the translations the guy still seems completely lost.

I have noticed that students who like to sit near windows when they are just reading and annotating their text books.

It is now about 7:20 and there is more people coming in and they are now coming in to just sit and drink coffee. Two women who seem to be about mid 20s are just chatting in Spanish about their jobs. They both work at a CommetCoins somewhere else. They both have juicy Couture purses in great condition which does not really correlate with a CommetCoins salary.

There are three baristas at the bar. There is two girls and one boy. They are all smiling and friendly. Neither one of them are bothered by the overly complicated order of an older gentleman who was not quite sure of what he wanted. The blonde barista politely walked him through his order process without ever seeming to get frustrated with him. The other two baristas quickly and efficiently fill the other orders. When the orders have been filled. the male barista begins helping the blonde barista fill orders so the long line begins to move. The female barista left making drinks continues to make drinks within a few mines.

Most of the students that were here when i got here are gone. The patrons that are left are sitting in the big comfy chairs are older people reading the Sunday newspaper or reading the news on their computers.
