Too Slow of a Burrito Day

It’s a cloudy Monday morning, it’s unusually hot in the lab today. I arrived at work late, so as soon as I set my things down I did a casual check up on the kitchen area, no burritos yet. It’s 8:36 am Chuck, Blaire, and Dwight are quietly at their desks working.

It is 8:39 am and Burrito Lady has arrived, no entourage yet. She shouts “good morning!” and she begins arranging everything.

Baldey has walked in and is talking to Burrito Lady, she is very cheerful today. One of the loud hispanic women walks in and begins talking to Chuck and Blaire about field work. Baldey and One of the Loud Women are grabbing juice and food while making small talk. Baldey and Burrito Lady must be friends because he walked out of the lab with her talking about I’m not sure what. I decide I need to get a closer look, so I walk over to grab some juice.

One of the Loud Women is looking at the burritos and Unamused Guy walks in! Perfect timing. He walks over to her and says “What’d ya find me?” and she replies “Bacon!” and he joyfully reaches for a bacon burrito. He turns around and says good morning to me, and then they both leave.

It is 8:45 am and it’s been a quiet Burrito Day.

Chuck grabs a burrito for himself and Blaire and brings it over to her, aw! I still don’t know their relationship status.

Dwight has walked over, and quietly grabbed a burrito and pastry, I’ve only ever heard him speak once.

Another Loud Woman walks in and starts talking to Blaire about some rough draft, I go and grab a burrito because I’m nosey and need more to write about. However I got distracted by the different burritos and still wasn’t able to make out what they were talking about. Something about work is a safe assumption.

It is 8:51 am, Chuck and Blaire are eating when their supervisor Johnny walks in, he’s always so upbeat. He says “Save any burritos for me?” As Chuck and Blaire try to finish whatever food they were chewing so that they can talk.

Today has been a very quiet and slow Burrito Day, I blame the cloudy sky.

XOXO, Gossip Girl
