Lunch and a Show

Week four of field work is here. While walking to my field work location, crossroads, for the week I realize it's still really sunny and hot! It’s almost October I’m expecting it to be sweater weather not hot. Anyways, I’m glad that I will be having lunch inside even though it's super loud in there.
As always crossroads is super busy and crowded. Most of the tables are taken but I find an empty one after a few minutes of wandering. People are scattered around the area waiting for their food or chatting with their group of people.

While I’m sitting down I look around and realize there are a lot of girls wearing black tops. I thought this was strange for a lot of people wearing the same color. I was wondering if there was a specific reason for the black. Then out of nowhere a catchy song plays on full blast, the girls in the black start dancing. Flash mob in crossroads was pretty interesting. Their routine wasn’t great but it was surprising and they caught my attention. As they were performing I see people staring and recording it, for snapchat I suppose. I would be terrified to do something like that especially in front of a huge crowd. After they finished they explained they were dancing to promote a future event called Aggiethon. I finish my lunch and head out. Lunch was interesting to say the least, until next week.
