The night is Saturday evening, I am walking the streets just going for an evening cruise. The time is around 9:30 to 10:00 P.M. As I am walking down this quiet street a friend we will refer to as nanana invites me to a party he is at; I agree to go out of boredom. He tells me its a small kick back with some very interesting people, and that's all he says. I arrive to the kickback and notice a certain language that I never heard or recognized before. The group of people I will be writing are from Saudi Arabia, there are three of them, and they are all brothers. The first you can tell was the oldest he is 26 we will call legakba. The middle brother is 25 we will refer to as Agua, and finally the youngest and most funny out of them all is 24 we will call him Alcoholic.
I walk in to the house and notice bottle on top of bottles of a variety of hard liquor, empty cases of beer boxes. Nanana looks at me and says I know bro they party a lot. Clearly, I said appalled Legakba comes up to Nanana and gives him a hug and says something in Arabic, Nanana laughs jokingly. Legakba calls his other brothers over to greet Nanana and to take shots. I noticed each of the brothers come up and greet him with a hug and say the same thing in Arabic that Lagakba said. They all tell Nanana lets take a shot of vodka then the Agua and Alcoholic look at each other and say in unison " F*** no, we drank that stuff way to much in Saudi Arabia, the minute it comes near my mouth I will throw up". Legakba agrees and pulls out another bottle and opens it, he says "fine we drink this since you all are little girls". As the night goes on they take numerous shots of Captain Morgan, and cracking jokes on each other. Nanana laughs with them as they share funny stories of how when Nanana first met them.
The most common thing I noticed throughout the night was that all three brothers were constantly joking about something. They never kept on a serious conversation at all throughout the night. Even when Nanana jokingly made fun of their culture with common stereotypes of middle eastern people, such as terrorism, and the way they spoke. The brothers never took any insult, instead they embraced the jokes and laughed with him. I noticed that they are all a bunch of friendly individuals who like a good laugh. Especially Alcoholic he would make fun of all of his brothers and people at the party. Legakba was more serious out of all the brothers in terms of responsibility. I overheard his conversation to Nanana of how he is the only one who pays the rent on the house, he pays for the bills, and buys the food. I wasn't sure if it was their culture that the eldest sibling is responsible for taking care, and providing for all the younger siblings. The younger siblings seemed to only care about partying as they spoke to Nanana and told him that they party every night. All in all it was a night filled with so many laughs. The trip in the middle east was a funny experience I will never forget. The drunker the brothers got the more they played music from their home town in Saudi Arabia, they would dance and sing, and speak in Arabic laughing and cracking jokes on one another. They seem to really miss their home, they would tell Nanana about future plans that they had for him about him going to visit Saudi Arabia. Nanana would jokingly respond with I am not ready to be tortured and killed. The brothers all laughed and told him they loved him like their own brother. They were all a bunch of nice, happy go lucky group of people.
