5:44pm After I have retrieved and ordered my decaf coffee, I sit down in an armchair and set up my laptop in my own little station. The chair is against a large window; a perfect position to see the majority of the café in one glance.

 5:49pm Next to me in a similar comfy armchair sits a white 23 year old (ish) male. Like me, a laptop on his lap, his a mac pro. A backwards snapback covers most of his dark curly hair. He has on a white tshirt, black basketball shorts, and black Nike shoes. On the back side of his left calf I can barely see a bit of a tattoo poking out. Not enough to decipher what it might be.

5:56 I’ve already finished my iced coffee and now I can't stop wondering WHY IN THE WORLD DID I JUST PAY 5 DOLLARS FOR A SMALL COFFEE. This is ridiculous and next time I refuse to pay for half a cup of ice.

5:58 on my left side sits a girl at a four person table alone. She, too, has a MAC. Hers is covered in some colorful stickers. I’m not totally sure what they are. Like little alien looking guys. There must be at least over 25 of them on there. And I have no idea what they represent. She has on black thick rimmed glasses and wears a black maxi dress. Her dark brown hair is pulled back into a low pony tail.

6:02 the guy to my left in the comfy chair gets up and asks me to watch his stuff. As he gets up and walks to the restroom I presume, I see his tattoo is a large cross that covers his whole left calf with some letters I can’t make out.  

6:04 You know Professor I feel a bit creepy starring and writing stuff down about these randoms. This guy next to me has to know I keep looking at him. I’m just trying to read your tattoo, sir. Don’t mind me.

6:08 opposite the room from me and cross tattoo guy sit a pair of chairs with a table separating them just like the ones we sit in. In one sits a woman. She wears a white and gray aggies cap with a blonde bun in the back, a black collared Adidas shirt and Adidas running shoes. She sits with a thick book in her lap and highlighter in her right hand. On the floor her black backpack sits next to her feet. Blue PowerAde bottle in the side pocket. She must be an athlete. And as I look closer at the backpack I can see it said NMSU softball embroidered on the front pocket.

6:14 in the chair next to her sits black 40 yearold male. He has on a white tank top, camo cargo shorts, and sandals. He reads a book and listens to music. Oooh multitasking. Just as I think this a woman in a miniskirt comes up, greets him, they hug and walk away.  

6:17 In front of me sits probably yet another college student. He is a tall white male with brown hair. He has on a green soccer jersey, black Nike shorts, and under armor slides. He sits drinking his coffee and reading a text book.

6:21 At the large conference table in front of me sit the miniskirt girl and the camo shorts guy. The woman is deep in some sort of explanation of something. She seems passionate and excited about it. She has an accent, I can’t quite pinpoint from where, but I think somewhere from Africa. She is so involved in this conversation he hasn’t even touched her pastry. If it were me that muffin would be gone in less than a minute.

              MALE: 14
