Pick Your Poison

The environment here is loud and exciting. Young adults as well as elderly individuals circulate. There are several televisions with various sporting events being played. The people congregate towards the TV event that interests them while they order drinks. The majority of the drinks include different liquors, wines, and beers. Casual bar meals and appetizers are available for purchase in the building also.

Boots approaches the bar; he is a younger looking man with his hair slicked back. He tells the bartender what he wants, waits for the order, and walks away with a beer and what looks like a mixed drink or cocktail. I find myself wondering if he got both the drinks for him or for another person. Boots walks out of sight to the other side of the building.

I notice a group of older men sitting at a table watching a football game on a flat screen TV. They all have a glass of beer sitting in front of them. The Gentlemen talk quietly among each other and make gestures towards the game.

Two women head to the bar and wait on the bartender. The Purse Girls each order a mixed drink that looks identical. They pay their tab and talk at the bar not watching any TV. After a moment The Purse Girls get up from their stools and head towards the restrooms. Some other people that they know come up and converse with them for a while. After a few minutes the friends split up and go separate directions.

Then I see Boots go back to the bar counter without any drink in his hand. He makes another order and puts it on his tab. This time Boots only has one drink, which seems to be a liquor of some sort. He then moves back toward the direction he came from.

Purple Dress takes a seat at the bar. She is a younger woman with flip flops on, who looks to be by herself. I see that she observes the food menu, orders something, and then gets a bright colored drink with a straw. Purple Dress waits for her appetizer and sips her drink. She sits there for a long duration, pays, and then exits.

The Gentlemen are just now starting to finish their drinks and get ready to leave. Some of them put on sun hats that were placed underneath the chairs where the men sat. The football game that they were watching is now over and a post-game show is on replaying highlights and discussing the match up. The Gentlemen pay their tab and leave through the front door to the parking lot.

A group of younger adults walk into the building and go to the bar. There are two women and three men, and they all are wearing college clothing from their school. The Students tell the bartender their drink choices and they receive them quickly. I notice that the men got beers and the women got wine. The group transitions to a table and they sit down to talk. They laugh loudly at times when one of them says something funny.
