A Wednesday Night

The weather today is quite chilling, and the sky is an extreme dark shade of blue, and it is about fifteen to ten. There many activities going on around me as I sit outside. Across from me on the third floor, five rooms from the coke machine, are two young men engaging in video gaming. Down the hall to my left are a couple of guys and girls sitting out on the balcony. On the second floor there are two girls and two guys engaging in a water balloon fight. To my right is the laundry room, and no one seems to be using the washers today.

The two young men playing video games have now come out of their room to stop a pretty girl walking by, and attempt to talk to her. One of the guys is wearing a red t-shirt, khaki cargo shorts with black Vans, and Nike socks. This guy takes out his skateboard and begins to ride it around the third floor, in what looks like in attempt to impress the girl. The girl takes the bait. The girl is wearing a dress and flip flops. She looks as if she might have just returned from some type of meeting, judging by how nicely her hair is fixed up. She must be part of a sorority on campus. As red T-shirt boy rides his skateboard, the other young man that was in the room talks to the sorority girl. This other guy is dressed very similar to red T-shirt boy. Sorority girl seems to be enjoying herself with these two young men as they stand outside talking. They have been out talking for quite a while now, so I’m assuming they must not have much homework tonight.

Down the hall to my left the people sitting out on the balcony have begun to play some music. It sounds like country. The girls are dressed in casual night clothing, and the guys are dressed in jeans and boots. These guys must be country folk, and based on this observation, the choice of music being played must have been theirs. They seem to be having fun just laughing and singing outside. The weather is quite relaxing, so they, like many others outside, are probably just spending their free time outside, enjoying the weather.

The people having the water balloon fight on the second floor seem to have gotten into a small argument. From the looks of it the two girls were on a team against the two guys, and the girls threw a water balloon inside the guys’ room by accident. This must have angered the two guys because they chased the girls to their room and threw a water balloon through the crack of the door right before it closed. The balloon splattered on their wall, and the water got all over their desk and papers. After this incident the guys tried to apologize, but the two girls were not too quick at forgiving. I could hear the two guys offering to help clean up the mess, but the two girls said it was fine and closed the door on them.

No more water balloon fighting for the night.

Everyone out is more occupied with talking to friends and having fun, rather than doing work. Wednesdays must be non-busy days, judging by the amount of people out and the fact that I also have no work to do today.
