Please Forgive Me

I roam down the street wish a light coat on, for the temperature is colder than I'm use to. But, the sun still shines throughout the sky. I walk through the group of people and find a seat in the crowded church. I sit and wait for the sermon, reading my pamphlet that I as handed at the door. I receive one of these pamphlets weekly. They give an outline of what the service today is going to consist of, and on the back, there is about eight fill in the blanks. I take notice that we are going to have a sermon about confession.

The Father begins to preach, and talks about what the pamphlet hinted to, confession in the catholic church. The pastors reveals the obvious. He explains how we all have daily faults and sins that we need to ask forgiveness about. He explains that, going through life without confessing to him, would not be a good idea. He says that confession is a sacrament. This confused me, but throughout service, he explained the meaning of this. What his means is that there are seven sacraments in the catholic church, and one of them are confession. But, many do not understand much about this sacrament. He explains that saying confessions to Christ every Sunday is a way of letting Christ into your life. But getting rid of all of your sin, it makes space in you life for the Lord to build and grow stronger inside of you.

The purpose of saying confession is to reconcile with the lord. Sinning strips away our relationship with god. It in a sense, puts up a road block in between us and his Glory. So in order to prevent tis from happening, we take action in confession. this gives us the time to reconnect with him and to build your relationship. Once out of confession and relived of your sins, you now have the opportunity to do that.

Confession is important because after the fact, it helps us refrain from sinning. Once we repent and confess our sins during confession, it makes it easier to move on with life as a saved sinner. although it may happen again, you know that you can always kneel down and confess, it doesn't matter where you are.

To fully confess, you must apologize for sinning, then you must confess for you sins, and lastly, make amends for what you have done, Its not much to be forgiven. It is also a good idea to confess frequently. The Father says that you should do it once a month, but he also said that it does depend on the person. There is no limit to how many times one can confess.
