Cold Wednesday

We are just about midways into November now and we have not been receiving much cold weather. Well at least not as much as expected for the winter. Some days begin in chilly weather and later throughout the day the heat will rise making the day warmer. However, that is not the case today. It is Tuesday and the time is about six thirty. The day has been quite cold today. First day in a while that the whole day remains cold. This is hopefully the mark on the first cold winter day to come.
On a day like this most people would rather stay indoors and enjoy the warmth of their rooms, however, that is not the case today. Many people seem to be excited about a cold winter day. A day like this has been far overdue, so those who enjoy the winter are currently outdoors.

On the patio floor of b-block at Garcia there is a handful of people sitting, walking, talking, and playing catch with their football. One thing they all have in common is that they are all dressed in warm clothing, consisting of sweaters, hoodies, sweats, beanies, scarfs, and gloves. Judging by the amount of people out at this time, they all must have been anxious for the perfect day to come, in which they could break out their warm clothing.

Many of these college kids are walking down the halls entering and exiting the doors, and in their hands some of them carry paper cups of what seem to be either hot coco or coffee. It is the perfect weather for hot drinks.

On the patio floor I observe a group of girls who sit at a neighboring table. Two of the girls are wearing pink sweaters and sweats, while the other three girls wear grey with pink sweaters and regular jeans. Their choices in clothing are all very similar in style and color. I would conclude that they might be part of some sorority based on this observation. Even those who are usually busy with activities made time to come out and enjoy this weather, such as these sorority girls.

Right next to the sorority girls are a couple of guy laughing and talking as they pass around a football. Around them, they are surrounded by multiple bench’s which are being occupied by a couple of girls and guys. They are all sitting and talking, and some with a warm drink in their hands.
It is interesting to see how the beginning of a change in weather is able to bring people together who has a common interest in cold weather. Similarly I wonder if the beginning of holidays and seasons would have the same effect on people. I will be able to test this thought when I see how people react when Christmas comes along.

It is cold Tuesday and the weather today has caused many people to come out and enjoy the weather in warm clothing.

Sure enough, there are probably just as many people indoors hating this weather.
