Campus After Dark

This week I stayed on campus Friday until about 10 pm in order to observe what campus is like at night. I determined it is a whole different world. Surprisingly, there are still people walking around all over campus in the evening, but obviously not as much as there are during the day when classes are on. The observatory was open so there were a few students and boy scouts that were out there at the track checking out stars. Everywhere you walk there are people still around at night.

At the activity center there were people inside playing a pick up game of volley ball. I think it was a pick up game of friends because it was co-ed and they were not in any form of uniform. They looked like they were having a lot of fun. there were people running at the track and one person running in the indoors up stairs track. there were also people lifting weights at the gym in the AC. The lights were on at the baseball stadium, but I soon realized there wasn't a game because there were construction workers on lifts doing something to the stadium.

I went inside of o'donnell hall to check out if there were any people in there. It was mostly abandoned. I ran into one girl leaving a class probably from studying by herself. I discovered a lot more study places and places to sit in-between classes. when I came out, there was a group of 4 friends playing basketball at the tiny court next to o'donnell hall. Walking from building to building I would run into a few people. Especially around the AC. There were lots of people in and out, like there always is. I think the AC has traffic in and out all day, that's what it seamed like to me anyways. Because at 9pm at night there was still a lot of traffic in and out.
