A perfect time for hot chocolate!

It seems like the weather keeps getting colder and colder as the days pass by. I get the chills even though I am wearing a jacket as I go in to the Barnes and Noble. The atmosphere seems quieter and emptier than all the times I been coming and that’s maybe because everyone is in their homes all nice and warm. I start to warm up as I continue throughout the building. I enter the Starbucks and there are 3 employees this time which is odd because there is has always been two. One of those employees is Shelby, she is making the drinks this time. At the register there is a new guy and he seems to be in training because Shelby and the other lady is giving him pointers. Zander, the new employee, is very tall and has a dark haired bears. He is wearing glasses and a nice shirt. Zander asks me what I would like and I tell him a hot chocolate because today is quite cold and I want to warm myself up.

I pick up the drink at the end of the bar and have a seat in the reading area. There is some calm music playing in the background, it sounds like an orchestra which his very relaxing. I turn my head to the right and I see an older gentleman looking at the calendars. The gentleman is wearing a light brown leather jacket and come dark colored jeans. He also has glasses. He looks around through all of the calendars and finally decided on one he likes but I can’t seem to see what is on the calendar. He heads to the register, pays and heads out into the cold.

There is a couple of people walking by using the Barnes and Noble as an exit point. A lot of the people are passing by with shopping bags in their hands which tells me that they are getting their Christmas shopping done early. Very smart people I would say because it’s better than saving it until last minute. A crazy event that is coming up here soon that happens every year is the famous “Black Friday”. This evens consists of a lot of stores having huge sales that you can resist and are very cheap at a very early time and only for a limited time. People go crazy for this even and are willing to do anything to get the items they want even if it means camping a few days earlier so they can be the first people in line. Don’t get me wrong I loved Black Friday but I think that is it not very convenient to have it on the same week as Thanksgiving which is coming here very soon as well.

Thanksgiving has been a traditional celebration that happens every year and a big meal is prepared in order for families to eat together and be thankful. I turn my attention back the reading area and there is an elderly lady looking at magazines.  She is short stature and is wearing dark brown colored sweater with some matching sweats. She is looking at the cooking magazines which is a very good idea since Thanksgiving is not too far away. The lady keeps looking at the magazines and I turn my attention to the bar area. The three employees have some customers but not too busy where they can handle it. I feel colder and decide to head out before it gets too dark and even colder. If you’re going outside make sure to keep warm because I don’t think none of us wants to get sick especially with finals coming around the corner.
