#Lunch11

It's finally week eleven which means there is only one more week of field work! Yay, talk about exciting! Anyways, I'm at my usual  field site, Taos, on a chilly Wednesday afternoon.  It's around 1:30pm so the lunch rush is starting to die down, thank goodness. I hate when it is too packed because people are always cutting in line or you can't find a clean table.
I head over to the sandwich station. There are a few people ahead of me but I don't mind. The lady serving at the station is friendly and asks for my order with a warm smile.  I ask for a toasted beef and ham. She hands me my sandwich and says "enjoy."  I walk away and get a cup of soup, then I take a sit by the windows.
As I'm eating my food I watch all of the other students. They are scrambling around looking for their perfect lunch. Most of them are grabbing a burger and fries or pizza. I wonder if that is a coincidence or the rest of the food isn't great.
While I'm in there I notice everyone is in some sort of hoodie or scarf. This is how you know it's actually starting to get chilly in New Mexico. It would also explain why everyone is carrying a cup of coffee.
I have finished my lunch and everyone else has cleared out, which means my time here is over. Until next week!
