Wk. 11

The cold weather continues in the sunny city of Las Cruces. New Mexico State University, the true Harvard of the west, was suffering from the coldness. Many students from all walks of life were complaining about the weather. There were few individuals that were brave to handle the outdoors, but during the warmer hours of the morn some people bundled themselves up to venture out to the duck pond.
One such group was a couple. They were sitting on a park bench cuddled together against the chill wind. They were talking and laughing, not letting the cold weather bother them. It was nice to watch them. The girl was holding a hot coco, while the boy had his arm around her. They sat there for a good while, before they got up, still talking and laughing, and carried on their way.
There was also a group of special needs individuals that were gathered around the pond for a picnic. This was on a Friday afternoon, and the weather was more forgiving. It was interesting to watch these people. There were probably about seven caregivers total, and twenty or more adults with intellectual and physical disabilities. One caregiver, an older man, had a kite and was letting the clients take turns flying the kite. All members of the group seemed to be enjoying themselves thoroughly. Though there were more people with special needs than those in charge, there didn’t seem to be any problem controlling the crowd.

Despite the cold there were still several groups of people enjoying the cold crispy clean weather. People from all walks of life, can enjoy the wintry weather.
