The Struggle

I am making my way to my destination, in a very penguin like walk, trying to get into the building has fast as I could I see the building extremely busy today. There are guys and girls on every single computer.

I decided I will not sit in my usual spot today. I went further into the building where it looked to be less occupied. I find a nice spot where I can see clearly at what is going on. To my left there is a student doing some work. This guy is listening to country music. The reason why I know he is listening to this type of music is because of its volume.

As I am sitting down, I saw a girl walk in and going straight to the information desk. The tone of her voice was extremely loud, I felt as if I could hear her across the building. I did hear her as the help girl if she was able to print in this building using her student id. The help girl responded to her question and directed her to the way. I kept a close eye on the girl because she still seemed to be quite confused.

Once she sat down on a computer desk, she began to type. I looked around for a couple of minutes and when I turned back her face expression told me a lot. She looked more confused than ever. She continuously kept looking around and starring at the people who were in line for printing. I believe she finally clicked the print button because she stood up and walk towards the printing station. When I looked at her again, not making it seem like I was observing her, I watched her facial expression and she looked relieved.

The girl ended up printing what she wanted and looked extremely happy and content. After she got her papers printed she got her books, papers, water bottle and cellphone and began to walk into the cold winter breeze.

I stay a little longer to see if I see anything else that catches my attention; but from the looks of it, everybody is just on the computers. The entire building is quiet, and all the noise you hear is the clicking of the keys on the keyboard. A couple of guys are sitting down waiting for other group members. While they are sitting down, they don’t speak to each other and are engaged to their cell phones. They don’t look up to see if the other people of their group are coming. What has society come to these day? People from young ages to older ages are constantly relying on technology.
