While entering the vicinity, I instantly noticed a shift in the energy of the room. It was so empty when I had arrived, and five minutes later, it instantly got full. I then checked my phone to see the time, and realized it was already 11:30 at night, meaning the concert before hand had just ended. At this point everyone was waiting to hear Com Trusie play, either drunk or on some sort of drugs.
People of all ages were at the venue that night, which was odd for me considering the kind of music that was selected for the night. I guess the electronic scene is growing a lot faster among different age groups.
I sad quietly on the wooden bench, which is my favorite spot to sit at because I have a perfect view of everything that is going on. I can see the inside of the venue perfectly, as well as the outside. It was ridiculously hot that night, especially for the time that it was. Too many people were smoking cigarettes, making the room stuffy and hot.
That night everyone seemed very dressed up, which instantly put me out of place. Most girls we wearing heels and the boys were wearing bow-ties or skinny ties. Everyone seemed so well put together, until you started to observe as they interact.
That night, it was a little hard for me to just observe, for some reason a lot of people that I knew were at the venue. Thankfully, they would include me in their circle of friends, making it easier for me to observe them.
I met Bobby, who was bouncing from one click to the next, just randomly talking to strangers - talk about liquid courage.
As I sat with these people, I noticed that a couple of girls were kicked out of the venue for being to disruptive to the artists as well as being very belligerent. They were screaming all sorts of cuss words, while their other friends were trying to keep them calm, while trying to help them walk. This all happened before the performer came on stage.
Once Com Truise started playing, they had set up a massive light show, making everyone dance and scream. The musician had a great set, but unfortunately people were coming and going because they were going for more alcohol. More and more people started getting beers.
I then went upstairs to see how the crowd was interacting, and I noticed that a group of four friends were in the front dancing like no one was watching. The guy that was with the group was break dancing (badly), bumping into people as well as hitting them. It was quite funny. Unfortunately that got him kicked out of the floor because he was disturbing the rest of the crowd.
