Mates Rates

It’s a sunny Sunday afternoon here by the water’s edge and all I can is how the serenity is. This has to be the definition of perfect weather. It’s myself and three of my mates. We are all here to escape the heat with the water. Not just for the social aspect but actually for the water. Swimming up and down the lengths of the venue enjoying each stroke as you feel the water surround your whole body. My three friends are almost stuck in the sauna. It seems as if the temperate of the main pool are just too cold for them. Like many other people that have come through here over the weeks. The warmer temperature of the sauna provides what seems to be a much better environment for social engagement and conversation. It seems that the main pool is only used if the sauna is full.

With the four of us enjoying the warm water and the sun it is clear that we are fulfilling are purpose of being here. This is to have a great time and to relax. With dark shades over our eyes, the sun isn’t a distraction merely there to serve as the tool for our tans. Like 90% of all male conversation go we spend the next 30 minutes talking about girls and sports. Mainly focused around the NBA as the season starts this week. Eventually we have exhausted all of the possible female options for the four of us and now we move to the conclusion of our stay and that involves diving. The presence of a no diving sign has been useless amongst pools all over the world and that isn’t going to change with us. Everyone loves diving. As we continue to throw ourselves into the water. 1 by 1 and 2 by 2, people start to notice and embrace the fun we are having. There are two other young adult dressed in swim gear approaching the water’s edge. Without the help of our previous dives they may not have been so willing but it seemed as if without a thought they trusted themselves into the air for two solid bomb dives.

That’s the thing about this place, it brings people together. 5 minute ago we had no idea who these people were other than the two people sitting in the corner of the venue. Now, here we are all engaging in the same activity whilst laughing and sharing a great experience. After we dry off and head back inside it is easy to reflect on the magic that this venue has. Just some water and cement can make such a big difference to someone’s mood and day. My friends and I can safely say that we all came out with ear to ear grins and appreciating what the venue did for us. So thank you site P, thank you
