Just Another Day

10/26/14
It is now 5:00 in the evening on Saturday and the weather is mostly sunny. Apparently Royalty Burger has been quite busy based on how dirty the lobby is as well as the fact that everything is understocked. There are many pieces of scattered food at one table in particular and it really looks like the food just went through a shredder on the table.

Multiple people are still entering one by one. One group was made up of a nice elderly Hispanic couple that apparently do not seem to get out much. The man was dressed in a cowboy-like fashion while his wife wore very formal clothes and I would have guessed they had just gotten out of church if not for the time and the day.

I have essentially just arrived and our first “crazy,” a term for unruly customers, has entered the store. He is a short Hispanic man with a little man syndrome in my opinion, dressed in jeans and a t-shirt, and always a pain to deal with. For example, my first encounter with him was soon after I had been hired and he complained about an item that had been discontinued until the manager gave him a discount to get him out of the way. Even after the discount he used an extremely condescending tone and even other customers started looking towards the register. This time he waited almost 15 minutes to order until someone had ordered ice cream, an item that was sold out. He then proceeded to order that item and complain and complain and complain. This time the manager was in the back and I did my utmost to deal with him. I felt very accomplished when he gave up and left with the rest of the food he ordered.

Another regular customer came in, but to my surprise he walked into the lobby instead of his usual Drive-thru. It is none other than Mr. Shaky Hands. A kind elderly old white man, with surprising knowledge about our promotional items, and very shaky hands. He ordered our chicken nuggets as well as two chicken sandwiches, both of which we had a discounts on.
Not long after Mr. Shaky Hands came a short African American man of middle age wearing a suit and glasses. I have seen him multiple times before and have noticed he always orders unsalted fries. He always has very good manners and a harsh accent that makes me believe he is of foreign descent, however I am not sure of this. This time he brought his son. He is about 6 years old and very well behaved for his age.

In conclusion here at Royalty Burger we had our fair share of unruly and polite customers this evening.
