One child left behind

Most employees like the idea of being promoted. Most employees fear the idea of being demoted. This week I was instructed to train another employee to become a busser. The employee is a dishwasher. I am now currently a busser and I started off as a dishwasher. The dishwasher is very happy and proud to be training as a busser. He talks about how much he wanted to become one. A lot of other employees are happy to see him become one because other employees happen to find him funny. It seems that rewarded promotion happens to have other social rewards, such as respect from others.
Another busser I have been working with started off as a busser. There was a time where he had the majority of the shifts, and was one regarded as the lead busser has lost two of his shifts and is hardly ever asked anything by the managers. He often talks about how much he wants to get another job. A lot of employees had have discomfort with him in the past because of the way he likes to say what is on his mind. He started to be disliked by some of the staff as I started to be embraced. I think social standpoint can determine promotion.
