Tis the season for something

Minnie, Almond Eyes, Mr. Zebra, Cool Shades, Round Face, Sparkly and the whole crew was packed together near with Mr. Meerkat. Mister Meerkat was discussing some important topics with us.
About a ways into it, Minnie asked a question that was responded to with acquiescence and she replied with an overly personal remark.
Everyone else- Mr. Zebra, Cool Shades, Round Face- all looked around and down out of awkwardness. It would appear that no one knew how to respond, and no one in that room seemed especially tied to Minnie at that moment.
Mister Meerkat carried on and had a grave face with a quiet and calm tone the rest of the time. Round face, was rocking his legs and was rubbing his hands- in what looked like out of tenseness. Cool Shades was paying rapt attention as well as glancing down at a corresponding document throughout; Almond eyes did not seem very interested as she was looking around. Mister Zebra was also looking around and did not seem perturbed. Sparkly was on her phone for part of it, but spoke up a couple time to ask her questions in a slow, calm and calculated manner.
As soon as the gathering was over, Minnie- who had tried to hide her tears- had burst out of the room, in what looked like frustration and embarrassment. Mister Zebra, Cool Shades and Round Face always tend to talk and linger- which shows that they all either have bonded or enjoy bonding with each other. Almond eyes looked busy and rushed out too, with an upset look on her face.
Mister Meerkat, per usual, came to the common area and began joking with the rest of us about trivialities.
We discussed the holidays and where we would go and what we would do. There seems to be an uprising of anticipation causing much stress with some people.
