After the rain

Week 8:

The rain from last week has finally passed and the sun is shining brilliantly on this Wednesday afternoon. Nights have been coming a lot sooner now, so I decided to visit my site at a time where the sun was still out to see if dead hall was out again. Every week I’ve noticed how the time of day affects who comes to the site, how many people are here, and of course the noise levels reached.

Since it wasn't night time yet, I assumed there to be less athletes in the rooms at dead hall. However, my assumptions for this week were proven wrong. In the first room that I passed by there seemed to be a whole team that took over the room. There was an empty desk at the front of the room that I decided to sit in so I could observe the happenings going on in this room. As I was listening to their conversations pretending to so homework I found out that they all played for team green ball. Team green ball was very loud to say the least and I even saw a couple of them watching tv shows and other videos on someone’s laptop. They were so loud to the point where boy in charge had to come in and turn the noise level down. Out of all the times that I’ve been here, boy in charge had never left his desk let alone come into rooms and tell people to be quiet. After this had happened I decided to venture around and go in to the room next door to see what else I could observe for the night.

When I got to the room next door there were only a few other people that were in here too. By the looks of it they seemed to be trying their best to study without hearing the distracting noises and booming of laughter that came from the other room. They seemed to be pro at ignoring the noise and didn’t even look up from their computer screens as the noise got louder. I wasn’t sure if the people in this room were on the same teams as each other and wouldn't be able to find out by how silent they were. Since I was getting tired of observing nothing going on, I decided to go back into the room that I started out in.

Walking into the room for a second time I knew that something had changed. For one, the room had reeked of sweat from presumably hard working athletes. And that’s when I saw that team green ball had made some friend from the brother blue team. Brother blue team was even louder than the green ball team, and together they smelled of disaster, or just smelled. I couldn’t stand listening to them sing unheard of songs in their high pitched man voices any longer and choose to sign out of the madhouse for the week.
