I notice the bags underneath her eyes. She looks as if she got no sleep last night. Her hair is thrown up in a messy bun, and she reeks of alcohol. The front of her shirt is some greek letters. I assume she is in a sorority, and only here volunteering because she has too. She is accompanied by 4 other girls in the same matching shirt. The girl to her right was rather short for a girl. Her makeup was done and her hair was curled. She was dressed nice and looked as if she was dressed to impress. The girl to her left was taller. She seemed to be irritated at the person she was talking on the phone with. She began to flail her arms back and forth. The fourth girl was standing behind them. She didn't seem to be watching her surroundings as she accidentally steps on the girl on the lefts flip flop. The girl on the left looks back and points her finger in her friends direction yelling "Watch where you are going!" If my assumption was right, and they were greek sister. Their actions didn't seem very sisterly.
As a loud voice appears from the corner of the field. I look over to see an overweight boy yelling something repeatedly into the microphone. As the crowd of people begin to form aline I notice the first ten people begin to reach for a plate. As the first person proceeds down the food line he stops to pick up a donut. As the second person follows his lead she does the same thing. I notice a commonality between the first 9 people in line. They all grab a donut as their one item allowed to take from the table. As the 10th person is walking down the food line he grabs not one, but two donuts. A loud voice arises as the overweight boy begins to speak in his microphone saying "One item only. You may take one item only!" The 10'th person in line looks up in disbelief that the overweight boy just scolded him about the donut and walks away.
There suddenly is loud chanting coming from a group of boys. I notice letters on the front of a couple of the shirts and realize they are in a fraternity. As they gather in a circle there is one taller guy who stands inside the circle. I assume he is the president as all the guys around him focus intently on what he has to say. As they begin to clap for a couple of a seconds I notice a hand shoot up in the air. He begins to walk out of the circle and out into the crowd. The guy was fairly tall. He had long brown hair and sunglasses on. He was wearing basketball shorts and a blue nike shirt. As I glance down at his shoes I notice that his shoelaces are untied. I wonder if he will notice that both laces are untied on his shoes, but he doesn't. The fairly tall boy continues to walk until he can longer been seen in the crowd.
As a couple hours go by the crowd begins to fade. What once was a field of about 500 was no lowered down to about 50. It is time to go and I leave with my group to participate in Keep State Great.
