As i arrived to work on this Monday morning, Burrito Lady was already setting up the food! Either she was early or I was late...I was probably late. Dwight and I were the only ones other than Burrito Lady in the lab today. Chuck and Blaire are no where to be found.
It’s 8:40am and Smeagol showed up! With that look in her eyes that gave her this nickname, how great. I couldn’t help but turn my chair around to watch her interact with Burrito Lady. Smeagol casually went to the coffee machine but then slowly walked passed it inching closer to the burritos as if she was a toddler introducing herself to a dog. Burrito Lady finished arranging everything and made small talk with Smeagol as Smeagol dove into the collection and grabbed two burritos. Thank god for Smeagol lady.
It’s 8:45am and Unamused guy walked in! He says to Dwight “How are the burritos today??” and Dwight mumbled something I couldn’t understand, typical.
Once Unamused Guy left, Ponytail Guy arrived shortly after, and grabbed some food. I turned around to get an update on Ponytail guy, and he was drinking his juice out of a plastic cup with one hand on his hand, as if he was filming a juice commercial. He then walked over to Dwight and started talking to him about I don’t know what. One of the Loud Women made an appearance, she just grabbed a burrito and left.
This is a pretty quiet but interesting Burrito Day.
I’m just glad I got to see Smeagol Lady.
My boss and Baldey walked in and quietly talked while they got food, I’m trying to make it look like I’m working. Another One of the Loud Women walked in, she’s some sort of janitor I believe. She slowly walked to the window and looked outside, then once Baldey and my boss left, she walked over and grabbed some food. On previous days her and her co workers grab a bunch of food and sit in a conference room and gossip, but not today I suppose.
Two new people have showed up today, a short blonde woman carrying a large backpack, and a very tall surprisingly young looking man. Backpack and Young guy talked loudly to each other about work they have been doing, while they grabbed food.
Ah! Another One of the Loud Women is back! With her friend! Who is also grabbing food. They took their plates and talked in spanish to each other as they left the lab.
People slowly filter in and out.
Overall it was an uninteresting Burrito Day but at least I saw Smeagol Lady.
