I think everyone is feeling sick. Phineas, our instructor, was out all week, and my significant other has been eating all my Sudafed because he can't breathe. I thought I was fine, but then I drove myself to urgent care this . If anyone else has been feeling unwell, I hope soon all of us will feel better. I want just one normal, healthy week for everyone, and for us to get back on our feet.
Nonetheless, I really do not want to be at the park today. My medication makes my body feel like I was hit by a bus. Yet, I'm here at one of my 3 park locations. I have to switch it up because these areas tend to get really boring. I go to each during the week just to see what's going on, and to kill time.
It's really fresh out and it's the temperature I've craved for a really long time. The kind where you can just wear a light zip up and be fine, but you can feel the cold breeze on your face and neck. I even had the hairs on my arm earlier standing up. I love that nippy air. It's my favorite. The trees have sort of started to change colors but not too much. Not enough to the point it's screaming fall like I want it too. It's a La Niña year so I'm hoping it will be super cold. I'm definitely a winter person. Why I moved closer to the border don't ask me. My father graduated from SUNM and that's a very big reason but that's getting off topic.
It's nice outside with the breeze, and I can see the little ripples coming off the water. Today some kids and their dad are driving remote control boats across the water, and I really wish I had one. I remember having those RC cars that my brother and I would play with at my grandmother's. The ones that had the remote with joysticks and the car would actually drive around, not the hot wheels toys. These boats are so realistic too, only extremely miniature. If you've seen Stuart Little, it's the boats from that movie. So cool though, they glide around the pond as if I am onlooking the ocean and there are actual boats on the water. I kind watched Pirates of the Caribbean a couple nights ago before I fell asleep in the middle of it, and I just think of that old Victorian feel to the ships even though the toy boats I'm seeing are the modern ones you would actually see nowadays.
That's such a fun idea though, and a great utilization of the public pond. I wonder how much those boats cost. Probably more than I should spend right now, but still being young myself, I'm always looking for things to do. It's a relaxing activity too. I'm the worst at being a fun person or I'm just not outgoing whatsoever, so I like doing activities I know I couldn't screw up on. I can't even button smash adequately on Mortal Kombat. Yup. I can sure as hell drive those tiny boats though and have fun.
I even took a picture because I think they look so pretty on the water.
