Espresso vibes

The coffee shop is really busy this Wednesday evening. As I walk in and walk up to the counter to order and purchase my coffee, I notice that the front room and patio of the coffee shop are alive with conversation and the back room is quiet and full of people on their laptops or studying. I grab my coffee and take a seat inside of the coffee shop this time, I won't be having a cigar tonight like I usually do. I observe that there are people of all ages and races. One of the things that was nice to see was the diversity of each table, alive in conversation. Each table seem to have older people talking to younger people and also a diversity of races at each table.

I don't know if its just my mood or if the coffee is really this delicious tonight. I ordered a dark roast this time around, very tasty, a lot of flavor, and its deep, dark, but balanced and complex, just the way a dark roast should be. As I am sitting and thinking to myself how good this cup of coffee is I realize that the table behind me has two gents that are talking about the coffee as well. They are also admiring the quality of coffee tonight. Usually this place has great coffee hence the reason I always come here but tonight I think that the employees had just roasted and brewed a fresh batch, thus, the reason why this batch is so good. I also think that when a person is in an atmosphere that they enjoy, things seem to be enjoyed a little more and also I'm not smoking a cigar tonight therefore instead of focusing on the cigar flavor profile, I am able to focus on the coffee.

Some time has passed and I have been eves dropping on the table in front of me talk about their idea of the best vacation. It is a table consisting of two girls that seem to be Hispanic and three guys, two of the guys seem to be Hispanic as well and the third guy appears to be black. All of the people sitting at this table seem to be between the ages of 20-25. They all appear to be "hippies" or "hipsters" based on their clothing, appearance and style.

Then there is the table to the left of me that are discussing politics and the government. The table consists of two males between the ages of 25-30 and a female that appears to be in her middle 30s . The two males are white and the female appears to be Hispanic. They all have been discussing politics and the government from the moment that I walked in. The conversation seems to be peaceful even though there seems to be a difference of values, beliefs and opinions about politics and the government between the three.

After sitting here for about an hour and half and into my second cup of coffee its time for me to go on about my business for the evening. The coffee shop has died down quite a bit in the time that I have sat here observing. The two tables that I have described are still very much involved in conversation and seem to be in no hurry to leave the coffee shop. This evening was quite enjoyable to simply hear different conversation from different opinions, values and beliefs.
