Another Burrito Day.
It’s a quiet day so far, Chuck and Blaire are sitting at their desks talking about their drive, Dwight is on his computer as usual not saying a word.
It’s 8:20 AM and Baldey and Ponytail Guy walk in together and eagerly look at kitchen area just to find Burrito Lady hasn’t arrived yet. They talk about field notes as they grab some coffee. They walk over to Dwight and cheerfully say good morning to him, Dwight (I assumed) said good morning back very quietly. I think Dwight prefers when everyone pretends he’s not sitting there, he always just sits as his desk and never gets up or talks to anyone.
Ponytail Guy and Baldey begin talking about their weekends with Dwight, Dwight looks uncomfortable. I swivel my chair around so I can watch. Ponytail guy says very loudly “So what’d ya do this weekend?” and Dwight just leans back in his chair and mumbles a few words, all I could make out was something along the lines of doing errands all weekend. This doesn’t interest them that much so they begin talking about work.
It’s 8:30 AM now and Johnny has walked in and begun talking to Chuck and Blaire. Everyone is all chatty today, it’s weird to watch. Poor Dwight is still being bugged by Baldey and Ponytail Guy, he looks like he’s struggling to be social. I feel his pain.
Johnny asked Chuck and Blaire how their drive was (typical small talk, boring) and they both respond at the same time and then laugh and look at each other. Aw! Why won’t they date?!
8:35 AM now, and Burrito Lady has arrived. Ponytail Guy says “Thank goodness!” and him and Baldey walk over to the kitchen area away from Dwight. He looks so relieved as he continues working on his laptop.
Chuck and Blaire continue talking to Johnny, until after a bit more talking Johnny says he will come by later, then walks over to the kitchen area.
It’s 8:40 AM now and Burrito Lady takes a step back to look at the arraignment and says to everyone “Okay you can have at it now!” and cheerfully walks away.
Smeagol lady has arrived! Thank goodness. Her and her crazy Smeagol eyes examine the collection of food, as she waits behind Johnny to get a burrito.
Baldey and Ponytail Guy have already grabbed burritos, said goodbye to Dwight, and left the lab.
I want to investigate Smeagol Lady closer so I get up and walk over to get some juice. Unamused Guy awkwardly walks in and says hello to me as he uncomfortably waits behind Smeagol. Seeing Smeagol Lady up close is pretty cool, her eyes carefully look through the burritos. all wide eyed and crazy. She looks over at me and smiles with her eyes all crazy and continue looking, I decide that’s too much interaction and go back to my desk.
It’s 8:53 AM now, and everyone has left. People slowly filter in and out, overall it was an interesting Burrito Day.
