Sundae Sunday

Today seems like a very outgoing day for many citizens. Bright day, and what seems like a wonderful day to spend the day with family. The employees carefully, but quickly make ice creams as more and more customers walk in with family with over 3 people. A man with his wife and his two daughters ahead of me in line talk about I presume how their visit with other family members was. Steadily an older group of people walk into the restaurant as to observe the room to see how many “youngsters” are here. The ambiance of the restaurant was calm, social, and with 50s, 60s, 70s and 80s tunes playing in the background. Each corner of the dining area is filled with people and their families. The family to my far right side is laughing loud man dressed in suit as well as the three sons, wife is dressed in a dress I presume they have been invited to or part of a wedding. To my far left corner a family has received their ice creams and each of them prepared with excitement. As the line proceeds to the family ahead of me I noticed that the employees have shifted and the manager has been observing the employees on their work. As the family ahead of me proceeds with their order the two daughters excitedly order their ice creams and joyfully thank their parents.
As I take a seat I’ve noticed that the elderly group of people have taken a seat before their orders were placed, but I presume they’re just waiting for the line to calm down because it’s almost out the door. I take my observation to the right side of the restaurant which I’ve noticed a group of siblings around the cake area I presume they are looking for a birthday cake for their father because he isn’t present. I begin to notice that less and less people are arriving. Behind me is a younger couple with their baby girl which I presume have had an evening outdoors because they are wearing shorts shades. In the line there is father and daughter together I presume on a bonding evening because it is only the two. Behind them is a mother three sons I assume are here to take out and to order for family member at home. The family behind me to my right corner are having a discussion about a family event going on and are here for a refreshing quick stop. I noticed that some employees weren’t “on top”  of their duties because when the couple behind me received their ice cream they were missing an extra ice cream and the mothers order wasn’t correct. Arriving is Hispanic family that spoke all Spanish towards each other. The family had just viewed a movie in the nearby movie theater and have expressed their favorite scenes. I begin to notice a new employee begins to take customers’ orders and she seems quite pleased with here customers and well energetic towards the customers’ orders she even begins to suggest different ice creams on the menu the two child can chose from.

To conclude my observation I have found much activity during a Sunday evening where I noticed that every woman ordered a sundae and either shared it with her child or spouse, well in some occasions. The elderly group of people had ordered of course a sundae and were enjoying a piece of sweetness that has gone through many generations and still have the ability to gather family and enjoy a sundae on a sunny Sunday.
