Ain't no thang but a Chicken Wang

Around the holiday season our restaurant is flooded with large parties and banquets. Most of the banquets require some of the employees to set them up. Most employees do not like setting the up and often complain about doing so. If an employee has to something that is more than there job they will often get mad and talk about how they (management) do not care and just like to throw all unwanted tasks at the employees. As of lately there has been a lot of hostility between me and the other busser with a few of the servers. If a server wanted to make life hard for their busser they could do that by not accommodating to the busser by ignoring the fact that for every busser there is three to four servers that a busser needs to help. Some servers do not like when a busser does not pay special attention to a particular servers table. Trying to make everybody happy is impossible if everybody is not on the same page. The other busser and I have decided that if a server acts like this we will let them because it is not like they are the only ones that give us money.
Many employees get upset when things do not go their way. The owner has told us in a kitchen staff meeting that we will be a good restaurant if we keep a unified goal of serving the customer. It is interesting how some employees will get mad when they have to do any extra work but rather put extra work on other employees. It is a never ending cycle of discomfort and hostility.
