Just us Girls

It is starting to get colder as the days pass; people are now beginning to wear their winter clothes. Men start wearing light sweaters and woman take out their colorful scarfs to wear. The morning is chilly, and everyone I see is ordering something hot.  Most girls order some extravagant coffee while all the men have either plain coffee or hot tea.

I being a coffee hater, have a cup of tea keeping my hands warm, as I see a group of girls take a seat on the table in the corner and start talking all at the same time. The small brunette girl with a pen in her hand, waves her free hand in front of the four girls sitting around her until they all hush up and look at her. She seems to be the secretary or some sort of vice president, as she reads out the list on the notepad. They seem to be planning some sort of trip to somewhere I’m not quite sure where. The girl next to the VP looks like the president, sitting there quietly looking at the girls and thinking, as she raises her head, they all turn to listen. Madam P starts talking strategy, she gestures using her hands, probably talking on how to get there. Barbie, the girl sitting in front of the VP waits for a pause in madam P’s talk to ask a few questions concerning the attire of the trip, in which both the P and VP respond.   The girls sitting next to Barbie are talking among themselves and both turn to the group and say they are late to the park. The rest of the girls turn to them, realize what they just heard and start to grab their things to leave. They hurriedly walk out to what seems to be a suburban in front of the establishment and drive off.

As I had been preoccupied with the group of girls, all the men in the establishment had left. Seeing as how their orders were rather simple, they had been served rather quickly, probably leaving for their errands of the day. What I found even odder was the fact that there were also no male baristas in today. This place was completely and utterly filled with girls. And we were all by ourselves, all in one different table besides the three girls that were working. Four of us in total, including me, relatively wearing the same thing: jeans, long sleeve shirt, and a scarf, the only thing being different was the hairstyle. Two of us were on our stylishly decorated laptops, while the third girl was on her phone and the last was reading a book.
