Meal Time Activities

This week it was slow at The Pond.  During my time there, one group of four, three groups of three, and seven individuals were there for any length of time.  There were also not many people going through the area.  This may have been because I chose a different day to show up but I'm not entirely sure why it was so much slower on Thursday than Friday at noon.

The group of four were all male.  One of them had on shorts but the rest had jeans and t-shirts on and two were wearing baseball caps.  The one in shorts was also the only one to interact with his phone regularly out of the group.  The rest were engaged in conversation and one of the two  with a cap on kept messing with the fish and turtles.  This seemed to be the center of their conversation and they all yelled and taunted him every time he went to stick his hand in the water.  They showed up about 15 minutes after I got there and were still there when I left.

The first group of three were two females and one male and they looked like they were getting a group project done.  They had all kinds of paperwork and notebooks on the table with their food and had one person writing things down while the others were talking.  The male was wearing jeans and a t-shirt and one female had on shorts and a tank top and the other had on shorts and a t-shirt.  They were not on their phones much and would only check them briefly if the got them out.  They were there when I got there and were still there when I left.

The second group of three were also two females and one male and they had notebooks and paperwork on the bench with them, but they didn't seem to be studying much and more like they were hanging out.  They were on their phones and talking to one another the entire time they were there but they didn't look at the paperwork on the table much.  One of the females had her headphones in for the first part of the their time there.  They got there at around the same time I did but left after about 45 minutes.

The last group of three were all females and they arrived about 20 minutes after I did.  One of them had a dress on, another had shorts and a tank top with a sweater on over it, and the other had on jeans and a t-shirt.  They sat and had a quiet conversation with each other for the majority of their time there, although they were checking their phones every couple of minutes.  They left at the same time I did.

Of the individuals, there were five females and two males.  The first female was in shorts and a t-shirt and was talking on her phone when I got there.  She stayed on the phone until she left about 20 minutes later.  The second female had athletic shorts and a t-shirt on and had her headphones in while she napped on the bench.  She got there about 30 minutes after I did and she was still napping when I left.  The third female had on jeans and a long-sleeved shirt and was on her phone while she was studying.  She would be on her phone for a few minutes and then would get back to writing in the notebook she had out and then back to the phone and so on.  She was sitting under a tree and had her notes and purse and backpack scattered around her and looked like she had been there for a little while.  She left at about the same time as me.  The fourth female was reading a book and I think she might be the same person I saw reading a novel a couple of weeks ago.  She was wearing jeans and
a t-shirt and was there the entire time I was.  The last female was wearing shorts and a tank top and was watching something on her phone with headphones in while she was eating.

The first male was wearing shorts and a t-shirt and was talking on his phone and wandering around.  He started by the pond and then worked his way over to the tables and then back to the pond area.  When he was done with his phone conversation he went into the nearby building and did not come
back out while I was there.  The other male was wearing jeans and a t-shirt with an unbuttoned short-sleeved shirt on over it.  He seemed mainly focused on eating but was also looking through a notebook and his phone while he was there.  He left about 15 minutes before I did and showed up
about 10 minutes after I did.
