NFL Sunday

It is Sunday mid-afternoon, and it is the perfect weather to watch football. The sun is out, there is a slight breeze, and the heat from the sun is not as unbearable as it usually is. A couple of college guys are walking down the halls carrying drinks. About four out of the ten guys I have seen walk down the halls in front of me were wearing NFL jerseys. I saw two guys wearing Chicago Bear jerseys, one guy wearing a Dallas Cowboys jersey, and one girl wearing a Broncos Jersey.

As I see these people wearing these jerseys, I am curious to know if these teams are playing today, so I get on the internet to see what teams are scheduled to play today. Chicago Bears are playing the Panthers, Dallas Cowboys play Houston Texans, and the Broncos play the Cardinals.

Across from me on the second floor is the Chicago Bears posy. There are about five guys inside a dorm celebrating and yelling as the Bears score another touchdown. I can see them drinking Dr. Pepper and Sprite, and eating chips with dip. They seem to be having a good time. From the looks of it I would conclude that the Bears are winning their game.

On the Third floor across from me the guy wearing the Dallas Cowboy jersey is in a room with two other guys. I can hear the two other guys making fun of his jersey, they are probably Houston fanatics, or just anti Cowboy fans. But all of a sudden Dallas boy gets up and laughs in their face. The two boys just take the humiliation while Dallas boy gloats over their heads. I assume that the Cowboys are winning, so I check online and my predictions are correct.

Down the hall from me on the third floor I see the Broncos girl. She is in a room with what seems to be two other girls and three guys. I do not hear any TV on so I’m assuming their game has not yet started. They seem to all be getting along pretty well. I can hear them laughing and being loud down the hall.

On the second floor across from me, some shouting catches my attention. I look over to the second floor and the Bear fans are being very loud, but it is not very enthusiastic noises they are making. They seem disappointed and judging by the expressions on their faces, I am assuming that the Bears are now losing. I look online, and a couple of minutes into the fourth quarter, the Panthers have now caught up and taken the lead.

Based off of these observations, I would conclude that most people like using their free times on Sundays to relax and watch football on TV with friends. It seems like a nice way to spend time together, and just enjoy the weekend.

The Bears lost, the Cowboys won, and the Broncos have yet to play. May the odds be forever in their favor.
