Slow Saturday
Saturday once again time to go to work. I enter the bar around 4 p.m. not much people in the bar are once I arrive just a family of two and a couple of friends of on two tables. I prepare the bar for what has yet to come later on in the day.
I get my first couple of tables for the day shortly after I finish preparing the bar. One younger couple and an older couple. The younger couple seems to be traveling so they are in a bit of a hurry. The older couple however have nothing to worry about so they take their time. they both order the specials of the day and enjoy their food. The younger couple that was traveling seemed to be in somewhat of a bad mood i don't really know what was wrong they seemed to be complaining about their food coming out cold but that wouldn't be possible because their food was delivered as soon as it was done. So nothing bad really happens and they both end up leaving as soon as they are done.
It turns out to be a slow afternoon not that many people go out today. We get a small rush not too many people. Table I get is another table of regulars, a couple, that I always get. They always order one beer each and they always share a top sirloin which is a small steak to share between two people. The couple always seems to be happy with whatever they get no matter how small. They finish their beers and their food and leave the bar.
Nothing too interesting with the rest of my table, A few tables of couples and a few tables of friends. One of the couples orders a big rib eye steak that is smoked and tampiquena steak which is a steak smothered with grilled onions, green Chile, and melted cheese. The gentleman's steak was over cooked so I sent it back and got it prepared the way he wanted. The gentleman was wearing a fire department shirt so I assumed that is where he worked. They finished their food and they left. The rest of my tables did the same and left as soon as they were done.
I begin closing the bar early since their was no one left at the time and it was still early. I began closing early that way I could leave early as well. Two tables walked in late but since I had the tables and the chairs everywhere in the bar because I was sweeping, they sat in the dining room and they weren't my responsibility. So I finished my closing duties and headed home for the night.
