Too Much Testosterone

Today there were quite a few people. The sun outside is shining, the coffee is brewing and everyone is enjoying the sun and caffeine.

There is a young man from across my table. He is wearing glasses and listening to his music intently. A skateboard is leaning against his table as he writes thoughtfully into a notebook. I can tell he is lost in his own world. He is about the age of 19 or 20.

I see another young man, Tim, in a white polo and grey cargo shorts. Tim is casually scrolling on his laptop. He seems to be on facebook or another homepage of sorts. He looks to be of caucasian descent. His hair is dark and curly and his eyes are a lighter brown. He has stubble and is drinking a cold beverage of sorts.

I see on the table besides Tim, another young man. I then realize that most of the patrons in the cafe are male today. Which was a first! This other young man was about Tim's age early twenties. He looked to be of Hispanic descent and was wearing a plaid button up shirt. Very lumberjack-y, He too, was scrolling on his laptop casually.

Alas! I see a girl, she was tall and lovely, she wore a brown top with black shorts and black vans shoes. But her presence was very short as she swiftly walked out with her drink order.

I see a young couple across the room. A young man and lady sitting across from one another. The woman had long dark hair in a ponytail, she looked to be of European descent, The man across from her was wearing a true blue shirt. He looked to be of European descent as well. I noticed many caucasians or people of European descent enjoy dating at this particular place. I see the young couple laughing flirtatiously.

An older gentleman of about 37, walked in. He had a tall stature, wore a black band shirt and ripped jeans. He looked like a rocker of sorts. He even wore Converse sneakers. He stood in line and ordered his drink. I watched him walk across the room to an open table, near the young couple and he sat down.

He waited a few minutes then finally the barista called his order and he walked up to the counter then back to his table. He pulled out his laptop and began scrolling and typing.

I realized I haven't seen anyone under the ages of 15 in this joint. It's mainly a place where people around the ages of 15-40 come and relax. Almost a bit like a club? But for coffee lovers who don't like to interact.

Also, I was very surprised at the large amount of men in the joint today. It was a first, usually women, young women, frequent this place.

I finally grow bored, then order a drink for a friend. Then I walk out of the joint and head off to meet her.
