People being people

Today is a wonderful day. The place is full with the sound of humans. The food looks and smells good from the counter on my far right. The establishment has a fair amount of people today and all are around the same age. All men are dressed the same (jeans and a t-shirt), while the girls’ outfits are varying from casual dresses to workout attire. Everybody seems to be enjoying themselves and their day.  There are more girls than boys, at this establishment- only seven boys compared to the ten girls.

The biggest group which is also the loudest group is composed of four boys and four girls. The only couple seemed to be the pair on the farthest side of the table. The rest of them were hanging out, and there was no visible chemistry between the groups, although I did notice that the girl that was in a relationship, the girl sitting next to him and the guy sitting across from her were all related. They had a resemblance to one another that proved they were probably brother and sisters. I might have come across a very particular situation as they all looked the same age, implying they were triplets, which is rare because I had never seen triplets outside my family. The rest looked like they were just friends and by now they were all enraptured by the guy sitting in the middle of the table. He seemed to by telling a very interesting and awesome story because they all stared in silence as he used his arms and facial expressions to further emphasize his words.

On my left was the remaining of the boys. The three of them were all sitting around the table with a big stack of what seemed to look like comic books? They had several opened and where conversing quietly while looking through them. It seemed to me like they were searching for something/ settling some argument. I think what might had happened was that they had probably been having a nice conversation on some sort of character and come across a conflict in which they all believed a different thing and have come to settle their conflict and see who was right.

The groups of girls in front of this group of boys were as intrigued as I, on the situation. They would occasionally glance back wondering why and what they were doing. They would laugh and talk about how boys resolve conflict and how they could just look it up on Google. I observed the girls as they observe the group of boys, until finally one of the boys stood up and said “I found it!!” making the rest of the boys lean forward and confirm the discovery. They proceeded to slump their shoulders in defeat and order their food.

As me and my sister packed to leave ,the big group in the corner was still there laughing at another story, now being told by the girl at the far corner, the other boys would probably find another conflict in which they would look for the answer to - the four girls had gone back to their own thing.
