From the eyes of an Aggie!

It is Saturday September 20th and I am here at what is said to be the livest football game of the season! So far the Aggies are winning and the whole atmosphere is turnt to the absolute maximum! There are approximately 1,000 people at this game. It’s a huge event in this south western region of New Mexico.  It’s the University of New Mexico Lobos against the Aggies. What’s worse the two teams are arch rivals.
Its 9:27 P.M 3 minutes left until the game is over. The score is 35-38 and New Mexico State University Aggies are down by 3 points. Aggies were in the lead up until now. Time is running out, the crowd is on fire!  At this point anything could happen. My main focus is the student section on the Aggies side. They are screaming at the top of their lungs, some are crying and walking off full of anger and hurt while others wait around praying and biting their nails. It is such an amazing site to see how amped and spirited the student section was. It is so full of excitement, enthusiasum and a bunch of other mixed emotions.
Finally it’s down to the last 30 seconds! The Aggies are still down by 3. My heart is racing, I am dying to know the end result. The crowd is becoming more anxious as the seconds decrease. Finally, it’s over unfortunately Aggies lose. The most amazing thing happened, the student section still remains loyal and cheers for their team. One thing I can honestly testify to is, most of the students aren’t sore losers and are very satisfied with the players. Although the NMSU Aggies lost they gained a lot of knowledge for the future. I do plan on attending more games here at New Mexico State University and I will definitely be sitting in the student section!
