Coffee Crazed pt 10

This week started off as most. I walked in and saw some people ordering drinks. The employees weren’t happy, they weren’t sad, or mad, or anything, they were just there. One thing that did stand out was that the group of Middle Eastern men had returned. I didn’t even have to see them before I knew they were in the shop. Their distinct language and laughs echoed through the coffee shop, as they always seemed to be laughing at a joke. The quietness of the studying students was the complete opposite. I wouldn’t even know they were there if I hadn’t seen them tucked away in the back corner of the shop.
A Mexican couple and their son walked in dressed in what looked like church clothes. They ordered their drinks and spoke quietly in Spanish to each other. I made a realization that the Middle Eastern men were never really quiet, their conversations were always clearly audible, whilst this Latin family, along with the others had seen throughout my field work. Were usually quiet and conserved and only spoke in their native tongue among each other.

There was a group of teenage boys sitting on and around the couch drinking their sugary drinks. The big event that happened this week was the rivalry between the two high school football teams I town. They talked of how the rivalry was ranked 2nd in the nation and some obviously disagreed with others when the topic of who was better came about. They talked of how the game was amazing and then discussed the brawl after the game as if they were ready for a second fight to break out at any second.
