Halloween Heartbreak

It was around 7:30 am on Saturday morning, the coffee shop was a bit empty. I’m assuming everyone was probably recovering from last night’s festivities. Thirty minutes later people start to arrive to the coffee shop, as I’m sitting there going over some homework I noticed that a couple of girls walked in. They seemed to be 15 or 16 years old; as they walk in they’re laughing and talking about their night. One of the girls laughs loud then whispers something into one of the other girl’s ears, she then laughs with her and they all turn to look at the third girl. As they sat on a table near me I couldn’t help but over hear, apparently their night had been “too legit.” One of the girls (Hazel) began by bringing up their costumes; she said that they had been the sexiest ones at that party; she mentioned how one of them was dressed up as a bunny, another one like a sexy kitten, and the third one like a mouse. (When she mentioned this I couldn’t help but think about the movie Mean Girls, I think that’s what three of the main girls in that movie were dressed as in that movie.)

After they ordered their coffees, Blue begins by saying, “I still can’t believe that James left the party with her, I ordered that costume just for him! Did I not look hot? Like I just don’t get it!” When Blue said this both Hazel and Pink gave her a look, Pink who was sitting next to her hugged her and whispered something to her. Hazel then said, “Pink is right! He’s a jerk and you deserve better!” Both, Pink and Hazel look at each other as Blue is looking down at the table. There’s complete silence for a couple of minutes, Linda goes over with their coffee then points at the wall. The coffee shop is full of sayings written all over the walls, and the one that Linda was pointing at said, “Una persona te rompe el Corazon una vez, pero el recuerdo te lo rompe mil veces.” Meaning that a person will break your heart once, but the memory of it will break it a thousand times. I guess I understand why Linda pointed at that saying, at that age all girls think that, that one guy they have feelings for is the one, that, that heart break will never heal, and that no matter what they do for them will never be enough. They are young, and by the looks of both Hazel and Pink towards Blue I understand how it must of felt.

After that both Hazel and Pink began to cheer Blue up, they looked to be really close, all three girls began to laugh and enjoy their time at the coffee shop.
