Old Love Cafe

For a Monday afternoon the café has its usual atmosphere which is quiet and not very busy. The sounds of country music play in the background. The employees in the café are laughing hysterically while restocking the pastry supply.

Two female students sit at one of the smaller tables and both have green plastic water bottles. One of the females, who was blond, had purchased a small green tea. Blondie had her laptop closed on the small table but then after talking with her friend for a while she opened her laptop to begin working. The friend, Lilly, got in line to order a beverage. She then returned to the small table where Blondie was sitting. After Lilly’s name was called she got up, grabbed her small mocha, then returned to the small table with her warm beverage. Lilly waited a while before taking a sip and began a new conversation with Blondie. After taking the first sip from her beverage, Lilly packed up her things said goodbye to Blondie then left the café.

There is a young man to the right of me who is working intently on a project. He has a half-eaten apple to the left of his laptop. Little John has flip flops on although it is a chilly day outside. He frequently takes sips from his blue plastic water bottle then continues to type rigorously on his computer.
To the right of Little John is a middle aged gentleman who is busy reading a book. He had purchased a red bull which he drinks from constantly. Beside the book that Mr. Bull is holding in his hand he has another book sitting on the table. Mr. Bull appears to be content with his life. When he looks up to see who passes by him he smiles and occasionally says hello.

A young man who is sitting behind Mr. Bull has a striped shirt and is working on his laptop. Stripes must be writing a paper because he types rigorously for a few minutes then he gets stuck, looks at his surroundings where he seems to gain new insight then he begins typing rigorously on his computer.
A young lady with a blue shirt and sweater walks in to the café and sits at a one of the small café tables. Her teal blue shirt matches her striped teal backpack perfectly. A young man in jeans and a sweater walks in a few minutes later. Ms. Teal picks up her backpack and they get in the café line. Once they get their drinks they head upstairs to study together.

Three Hispanic females walk in to the café all speaking Spanish. They seem to be laughing about something that recently happened. They all get in line and order the same drink then pick a table in the café to sit and chat.

I look out to examine the bookstore which is quite busy today. There is an older couple shopping in the bookstore. They both slowly stroll together with hand in hand through the clothing. The older woman deserts her husband to use the restroom and he patiently waits for her. Once she returns from the restroom he reaches for her hand and they leave the bookstore holding hands.

There is an older man who is wearing a Seahawks ball cap and a polo striped shirt. He is slowly looking through the clothing section then he slowly wanders from the clothing to the small section of games. Mr. Turtle then slowly moves from the games over to the books at the front of the bookstore and looks on the backs of the covers to discover each one’s contents. After looking through the books he then returns to the clothing section where he picks out two polo shirts then walks to the register, purchases his shirts and leaves the store.
