Boring Saturday

I arrive in the bar for yet another Saturday night of work. It is completely empty upon arrival so there isn't really much to do, I prepare  everything just in case we were going to get busy later on that night.

I get my first couple of people for the night, a couple that appears to be in their early forty's, they sit right on in front of the bar. The couple orders a margarita on the rocks and a draft Amberbock. They don't order a lot of food instead they only order an appetizer of sauteed mushrooms. I have conversation with them and find out that they are from Albuquerque. They are visiting the area because they have a wedding to attend later on that night. So the couple orders another couple of drinks and they head out to the wedding reception.

It turns out to be a really slow night as we don't really get a big crowd during our anticipated rush. I get maybe a total of four table throughout our little rush. nothing too special with these tables, one is a family of three, the other 3 tables are couples. The family of three seemed to be celebrating something special but they never mentioned what it was. They order mainly barbecue food off of the menu. They were drinking an iced tea and the two adults order a dos xx beer and a top shelf cosmopolitan. They enjoy the rest of their food and leave as they were probably going to do something else after dinner. My other tables at the time didn't do anything out of the ordinary. All of the other three tables actually ordered top sirloins and a couple of drinks each.

After the end of that little rush we literally do not have any tables up until like 9 p.m. I get two more tables. one of them is a table of regulars, a table of five. A family of five, two teenagers and three adults. the teens order a tea and a Dr. pepper. The adults order a Michelob Ultra, a Johnnie Walker Black and a virgin Pina Colada. They order a couple of burgers and some sirloin steaks. Nothing special they have conversation between each other, finish their food and steaks and leave. The other table I got was a couple. They ordered a bud light beer and an iced tea. For dinner they also ordered a couple of sirloin steaks. They get all of their food eat and leave. That couple was more of a quiet bunch of people. I tried starting a conversation but it didn't seem like they wanted to talk so i left them alone.

After my last two tables left it was the end of yet another night at work. I began my closing duties and started finishing everything so that I could leave for the night.
