Sunday Night Live

Week 9 :

It’s another quiet Sunday night, outside the wind is blowing at least 50 mph making the rain drops seem like hail. I start sprinting towards socialize hall dodging the pellets of rain only to find someone inside laughing at me and three other people because he was watching us through a window. Awkward. Red, Black, and I all hand our ids to desk guy to check in and we head on over to group room number one where we find two other girls.

A very important college holiday had recently occurred two days before, Halloween and everyone seemed to be telling their stories of what they experienced. Blue was showing everyone videos that she took of curly when she was what seemed to be under the influence. Curly kept laughing and so did everyone else in the room when the videos were sadder to watch than funny. Desk guy noticed how loud it was getting and walked by and told us to settle down in a joking voice, warning number one. Since his tone of voice wasn't that demanding everyone had just continued on with their conversations once he walked away.

Almost thirty minutes later the room gets even louder than before. So much for my Sunday night homework grind theory that I had from before. There were about 6 or 7 girls in the room but it sounded like all of campus was smashed into one room. Conversations about the weekend continued to go on and it seemed like they were all trying to one up each other. One person would tell a story, and then the next person tried to tell their story slightly louder making it seem like it was better, and this cycle just kept on going. Then, warning number. Glasses came into the room with a strict attitude to set everyone straight. She called people out for not doing work like people are supposed to (but never happens) and ordered everyone to take out some piece of work. A whip had been cracked down on socialize hall tonight.

After glasses had finished scolding everyone, the room was back to a silent chatter. Even though they weren't as loud as before, no one wanted to face the wrath of glasses again so they all agreed on just doing their homework for the rest of the time spent in the group room. The room was peaceful other than the occasional grumble about how daylight savings messed someone up and that had concluded the hour and a half spent on this live Sunday night.
